A native Californian, Matt began playing the guitar at age 11. He began playing in bands and composing music at the early age 13 and gigged all through out the San Francisco Bay Area. During most of his child hood the extent of his musical education was with private instruction and any experience he could get his hands on. This, however, would only pacify his musical thirst for so long and soon he began contemplating music as a professional career. After graduating from high school in June of 2005 he made the bold decision of moving across the country in hopes of broadening his musical knowledge and career in Boston, MA. He began his studies at Berklee College of Music in the spring of 2006 and and graduated May 2010 with a major in contemporary writing and production. Since he began his life in Boston he has been working as a freelance musician composing music for short films, private lessons and playing in bands in and around the New England area. For a few years he was best known for his guitar work in the prog-metal band “The Arkham White”. Matt is currently working as a freelance composer and orchestrator and is a member of the band Black Light Dinner Party. He will be re-locating to Brooklyn. NY this fall.
